A memory from The Tour of Life (or the “Lionheart Tour”).

I was on an Adamas 12 string guitar performing a live version of EGYPT, which you can see on the video ‘Kate Live at Hammersmith Odeon‘.

While Kate was singing, she went up to each band member, smiling and dancing as she came to me. The live version of EGYPT was very different from the final recorded version on NEVER FOREVER. EGYPT was recorded at Air Studio – George Martin’s London Oxford Street studio at the time. Air Studios was in the top floor of 214 Oxford Street – in 1991 it moved to Lydhurst Hall.
