‘Somebody To Love’ by Brian Bath circa 2007.
Assisted by the glorious Del Palmer
A Jazzy song I have just rediscovered in my back catalogue, I began recording ‘Somebody To Love’ on an analogue ½” reel to reel Fostex through an old Seck Desk.
This song involves incredible stretchy chords and a solo, which I played on my Telecaster through a Line 6 kidney FX unit adding more overdubs on my Yamaha Guitar Synth (mainly Jazz-scat voices).
Del took this home breaking down the tracks, dropping them into Pro Tools and editing the takes. He then added an 18th Century Double Bass and some stylish drums. What a job!
Okay for a sunny day demo!
