MOVIE REVIEW – The Man From UNCLE
2015 | 116 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy
The Man From UNCLE is a stylish flashback to the 1960’s – 64 through to 68 to be precise – when England were busy winning the world cup, the Beatles putting together Sgt. Pepper, ‘love and peace’ and the Cold War.
The original classic spy series, featuring Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo and David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin, was buzzing around TV land on a weekly basis. This new film has a giant playing Kuryarkin (played by Armie Hammer) and a very entertaining tongue-in-the-cheek Napoleon Solo (played by HenryCavill). We also have highly in demand Swedish Actress, Alicia Vikander, as Gaby.
Nice sixties fashion on display from snazzy cars and locations to sharp suits and fab Women dressed in the most delightful clobber! Plenty of action, pretty good plot and dead easy to watch.
Effortless fun from Guy Ritchie.
